I am so glad you found us! I started this blog because I want to chronicle my own weight loss journey in the hopes of helping other new moms out there battle their bulge as well. By documenting my own journey, it is only natural that I will end up providing a plenty of information along the way. So I hope for this to be a sort of "one-stop shop" of information about nutrition and weight loss. Although the predominant focus will be on my journey/providing weight loss information for you hot mamas out there, I also hope to add a few mommy tips and tricks here and there.
Like many of you, I want my child to grow up in a home that promotes healthy eating and an active lifestyle. The best way we all can do that, I feel, is through leading by example. So even if no one ever reads this blog (gasp!), I will have benefited from it, because writing and researching for it will help keep me on track.
As a mother myself, I know how busy we are. So, I am here to sort through fitness information, and put it in one place. I will never make up my own diet or workout. I will, however, post information about what has worked for me personally. Of course you should always consult your doctor before trying any new diet (though we focus on healthy eating here, and not "diets") or exercise routine. But you knew that. ;)
So here's how I plan to keep things organized:
I will post Weekly Workouts, as well as Belly Tips, Baby Tips, and Body Tips. The Belly tips I think are pretty self-explanatory- they will include information related to pregnancy. The Baby Tips will include info related older children, in addition to babies. Most importantly, the Body Tips. Any information that I think is relevant to weight loss and nutrition for women dealing with their "new" bodies will be documented under this heading.
I think we all learn as we go, no matter how many baby books we've read during pregnancy, so I think anyone can contribute to the Baby Tips. These may include anything from "what I learned today" to new or interesting products for babies and kids.
If you have any ideas or comments, please feel free to contact me: bellybabybody@hotmail.com. This is a new venture, and I'm sure I will be contintually adding new things. I can't wait to get started!

One of my biggest food struggles I have as a new mom (if I can still be called that) is finding quick, healthy snacks. There are many time when I am hungry, but just don't have any more time than to grab something out of the cupboard. That usually ends up being sugar. Not good when you want to lose baby weight.
Rachel have you ever heard of Sparkspeople.com? It's really cool! Kind of like a healthy Myspace (not really but that is the best way to explain it). I love it because it has a lot of information on there on how to become healthy. I thought maybe you could use some of the information for your blog! Cool Idea by the way!
Thanks Jess!
